ENVISIONING NEPAL TO GENERATE CLEAN ENERGY

Ramesh Corp. is one of the leading contributors to the development of hydropower projects in Nepal, with a strong focus on clean energy, renewable energy, and hydroelectricity generation. Our major hydropower developments—the Upper Balephi ‘A’ Hydropower Project (36 MW), Upper Balephi Hydropower Project (46 MW), Kaligandaki Gorge Hydropower Project (180 MW), and Surke Dudh Koshi Hydropower Project (188 MW)—strengthen Nepal’s energy security, expand renewable power generation, and promote sustainable economic growth.

The Upper Balephi ‘A’ Hydropower Project has been operational since November 2022, adding 36 MW of electricity to Nepal’s national grid. The Upper Balephi Hydropower Project (46 MW) is under construction and targeted for completion by 2026. We are also advancing the Kaligandaki Gorge Hydropower Project, a 180 MW PROR initiative with a signed Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). This run-of-river hydropower project will contribute significantly to Nepal’s long-term energy sustainability.

The Surke Dudh Koshi Hydropower Project, a 188 MW clean-energy initiative, holds immense potential for renewable power generation and regional economic development. At Ramesh Corp., we ensure the success of our renewable energy projects through cutting-edge hydropower technology, sustainable practices, and increased community participation.

Our commitment includes community engagement, environmental responsibility, and the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational sustainability. Through strategic investments in Nepal’s hydropower sector, we help produce reliable clean electricity while creating employment opportunities in remote regions and supporting long-term energy self-reliance.
