Lamahi Energy Ltd.
Nepal’s energy sector is gradually evolving with a growing emphasis on clean and sustainable alternatives. While hydropower dominates the national grid, its seasonal variability has highlighted the need for alternative energy sources. In this context, solar energy stands out as a dependable and environmentally friendly solution—especially in regions with high solar irradiance. Recognizing this opportunity, Lamahi Energy Ltd. is leading the way in strengthening Nepal’s renewable energy portfolio through utility-scale solar projects.
Founded with the vision to contribute to Nepal’s green energy transition, Lamahi Energy Limited brings together a team of experts in engineering, project development, and sustainable infrastructure. Our strategy is based on community collaboration, technological innovation, and environmental responsibility.
Lamahi Energy Limited is currently developing the Rapti Dobhan Solar Power Project, a grid-connected solar power plant with an installed capacity of 30 MW AC, located in Hasnapur-05, Lamahi Municipality, Dang District , within Lumbini Province. The project site receives an impressive average annual solar insolation of 5.37 kWh/m²/day, making it ideal for solar power generation.
Electricity generated from the project will be evacuated via a 4.5 km, 33 kV double-circuit transmission line , connecting the plant to the Lamahi Grid Substation. The use of modern solar photovoltaic technology ensures high efficiency and long-term operational reliability.
Through this initiative, Lamahi Energy aims not only to address the growing power demand but also to contribute to Nepal’s vision of a diversified and sustainable energy mix. The project aligns with national goals of reducing dependency on electricity imports and promoting clean, indigenous energy solutions for a resilient energy future.
