The “Ramesh Gupta Memorial Trust”  was established in 2018 in the fond memory of Late Shri Ramesh Gupta, a well-known industrialist & philanthropist who first laid the foundations for an ever-growing conglomerate that later came to be Ramesh Corp. Through Ramesh Gupta Memorial Trust (RGMT), our non-profit organization which was formed purely for humanitarian and social welfare, we work on preventive and curative measures against child cancer.

Financial Assistance

Under our curative measures, we offer financial assistance to children who cannot afford treatment in coordination with various private and government hospitals. We have so far provided full financial assistance to 27 children battling cancer. Currently, RGMT has 14 children under treatment, four of them came under our wing just last year. We have witnessed eight children who have recovered fully and now living healthy lives under our financial assistance program. Sadly, four children that we have assisted through the trust have lost their battle against cancer.

Awareness Camps

In the last fiscal year, RGMT organized two interaction and awareness camps with the support of the World Child Cancer. One of these was organized at Kavrepalanchok in which one district hospital's health care doctor and 18 primary healthcare workers were called to let them know the early warning sign and symptoms of childhood cancer and how to guide them for affordable treatment. On the occasion of International Child Cancer Day, another one of these camps was organized at Kanti Children’s Hospital, where an interaction & psychological support program was held in the presence of recovered and under treatment children, and their parents. To boost the emotional morale of the cancer victims, RGMT also distributed gifts and amenities.

Capacity Building Program

With the support of Word Child Cancer, RGMT organized a  Capability Building Program. And through this program, we have donated an ICU Bed, Multi Para Monitor, Infusion Pump, and other medical equipment, all worth NPR 60 lakhs to Kanti Children's Hospital.

Providing Treatment Near About

Through the program “Providing Treatment Near About”, we establish shared care centers all over Nepal so health care is more accessible to people. In FY 2078/79, two shared care centers were established - one at Nepalgunj and one at Pokhara. We are planning to increase the number of shared care centers in the coming days.

Social-psychological Program

While providing full financial support to the cancer victims and their families, we also believe in providing ample emotional support to them. That is why, under our Social-psychological program, from time to time we interact with families of children with cancer and try to understand the challenges they are facing. After understanding their challenges, we do our level best to overcome them in order to boost their morale.

Ramesh Gupta Memorial Trust was established with the motto “Seva Pravo Dharma” at heart. And with four years of its operation, we are honored to have been able to help many lives through our small and big efforts in the cancer fraternity.
